WHAT TO EXPECT

Grassroots was started in 2009 by seven people in a living room who felt God calling them to plant a church in the heart of downtown Rockford. Since then, we’ve been growing steadily by connecting with people from all walks of life. Our name came out of Jesus’ teaching that the Kingdom of God is like a mustard seed. It starts really small and grows into something significant, like a grassroots movement.

 

We are a non-denominational, Christian church, full of people from many church (and non-church) backgrounds. We have one worship service on Sundays at 10 am at the Chapel inside Court Street Methodist Church in downtown Rockford. Feel free to come as you are; our atmosphere is casual. You’re welcome to come a few minutes early to grab a cup of coffee and meet some new people.
